The Japanese liquor store Ma Sake, meaning real or authentic sake, is one of only ten Japanese liquor stores in Europe. The store is centrally located in the Netherlands, in the picturesque town of Oldebroek, with easy access and parking available at the shop.
We are open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 13:00 to 17:00.

Asama Umeshu is a very special plum wine made with special plums from Gunma Prefecture, soaked in Japanese sake. It features a smooth, easy-drinking mouthfeel with a pronounced sweetness which is well bananced with nice acidity.Great pure or on ice.
Higen Premium Daiginjo is characterized by the layering of its aroma and taste. Every time, new smells and flavors emerge, which indicates how well this sake is made.Made with 100% Yamada Nishiki from Hyogo Prefecture. It has won more than 10 gold medals at the National New Sake Competition, the largest sake competition in the industry. It is also proud to have won GOLD at the IWC in 2023. Asamayama Terroir Junmai Daiginjo is a driven by a desire to create a truly local sake using Gunma water and ingredients grown in this region. Cultivated with their own rice using the Kairyu Shinko rice variety, which is well-suited to the climate of Naganohara in Agatsuma District. This Junmai Daiginjo sake, with its beautiful flavor derived from the yeast, land, water, and rice of the Asama foothills, will add a touch of elegance to any special occasion. Fresh and graceful, with notes of pear, white peach, soft florals, gentle umami, and a clean finish. This sake is best served cold in a wine glass.
Asama Umeshu is a very special liquor created from special Ume from Gunma Prefecture, soaked in Japanese sake. It features a smooth, easy-drinking mouthfeel with a pronounced sweetness, delicate acidity and a long lasting finish.Great to enjoy on ice or pure in combination with sweet desserts.
Buddy Junmai Daiginjo is a low-alcohol sake with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness.It's a light sake in terms of alcohol but yet very tasty and same time friendly to drink.Try this sake with salads and grilled white meat.Best served cold in a wine glass.

Asamayama IBUKI Terroir Junmai is a modern type sake artisanal brewed with 13% alcohol. Asama Shuzo selects rice varieties that suit the climate and cultivates them in-house with the desire to make "real local sake" using locally grown rice. This 'IBUKI' is a product that expresses the wind blowing on Mount Asama. We hope you enjoy it with your own sensibility without being bound by preconceived notions, so information other than alcohol content, such as the type of rice used, polishing ratio, and sake meter value, is not disclosed. Higen Rei Junmai Daiginjo represents the pinnacle of the Higen Premium Junmai Daiginjo line. This sake is significantly rarer and more difficult to find. It demonstrates its versatility in every aspect, with an alluring aroma and a palate that reveals an indescribable array of balanced flavors. The profile boasts a full fruit palette where cherries, raspberries, and white pears are particularly prominent. It's a velvety soft sake that is unrivaled in its class. Crafted from 100% Yamada-nishiki rice sourced from Hyogo Prefecture, it has garnered over 10 gold medals at the National New Sake Competition, the industry's most prestigious event. Moreover, it took home the Gold at the IWC in 2023, the most significant Sake Competition globally for consumers. With numerous sake competitions held these days, securing a gold medal at the IWC is like winning an Oscar for a brewery.
Higen Zankara Junmai is a very dry sake with a sake meter value of +15. This makes it one of the driest sake group available, but it can be even drier. A number of sake in Japan have an SMV (Sake Meter Value) of even +25 When served cold, it has a crisp, refreshing flavor, while served hot offers a rich full-bodied flavor. Thus, it is a very dry versatile sake that can be enjoyed at different temperatures. On the nose, banana, apricot, steamed rice and earthy notes. On the pallet a lot of Umami and the same flavors as you encountered earlier in the nose, which makes this sake a balanced impression.
Asama Blueberry is made from the sweet, sour, and delicious blueberries harvested locally in the Gunma region. You can fully enjoy the aroma and taste of blueberries in this liqueur. Recommended to drink this liquor straight, on the rock or mixed with soda.
